Ah, Christmas. The time to be joyful and giving with the family you care about. Nothing beats playing dress up with your loved ones to show the world how happy you are. We have suggestions on the various ways you can synchronize your wardrobe this ho-ho-holiday.

1. The Disney family

Your family has “Let It Go” and other Disney classics like “Part of Your World” playing on a never ending loop and burst out in singalongs wherever appropriate (which is practically everywhere, really).

2. The “we-prefer-halloween” family

boxed in

Just because pumpkins are not in season, does not mean you can't dress up in wacky clothing! Unbox presents dressed up as boxes yourselves, or carve your dinner clucking like a turkey.

3. The sleepy family

Your house is the quietest in the block because who needs TV when there are zzz's to catch. What's wrong with rolling out of bed in matching pyjamas straight to the Christmas tree?

4. The Wes Anderson family

quirky family

Quirky is your last name, if you're not in the process of changing it. Your family manages to elevate awkward into an art form, purely intentional. The Arrested Development series is a holiday favorite.

5. The sweet family

stripey family

Everyone loves everyone and you make all attempt to show the whole world. Forget leaving diabetes inducing messages on each others Facebook statuses, dress up as candy cane instead! Stripes optional.

6. The classy family

Your wardrobe is filled with black tux or black dresses only and there's nothing wrong with that. Add a little pop of color (green, red or gold are best) as an accessory for a dash of holiday cheer!

7. The Malaysian family

Put on a shirt, roll up your jeans and drive to the beach. Instead of turkey, have barbecued fish or cuttlefish curry. It's hot here and casual parties with as many relatives possible are the best!
