Government allocates RM100 million for mission schools

The Federal Government will allocate RM100 million to help mission schools throughout the country, said Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Tan Sri Bernard Dompok, who is Penampang member of parliament. In 2012, the government had also set aside RM 100 million to mission schools. 

Distribution of the fund would be based on the needs of every school, added Dompok. Dompok thanked Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also education minister, for being willing to hear from representatives of mission schools on recommendations to involve the Malaysia Education Blueprint at the schools.

Primary students "As a result of the meeting, the group representing mission schools nationwide is currently discussing with government officials on the guidelines on how they can include the role of their schools in the blueprint.

"I have asked the board of governors of all the mission schools to hold related workshops and find out whatever is needed to increase their knowledge in the administration and management of mission schools."
