Marlborough College Malaysia opens Pre-School Year

Marlborough College Malaysia will open a Pre-School in August 2017.

The Pre-School will be staffed by fully qualified Marlborough trained teachers and is part of the Pre-Preparatory School; this allows the College to offer a true British preparatory education for pupils from age 3.

The Pre-Preparatory School at Marlborough College Malaysia follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, taught and embedded through play and practical activities, with an emphasis on early literacy and maths development.  This will encourage children to gain a head start, in a safe and structured environment, in preparation for formal school.

Purpose-built classrooms and outdoor areas provide varied learning environments and a wide range of co-curricular activities such as swimming lessons, PE, ballet classes, music lessons and languages such as Mandarin, Spanish, Malay, will be taught by Marlborough College Malaysia specialist teachers within the school grounds.

Mr Tig Mooney, Head of the Preparatory School says, “It was always envisioned that Marlborough College Malaysia would be a Nursery to Upper Sixth school.  The building of our new Preparatory School, which will open in August 2017, has allowed us to advance our plans for Pre-School provision earlier than we had previously planned.  Indeed, it is also a fantastic option for parents of pre-school age children to get an excellent start to their child’s education at one of Asia’s leading international schools.”

The prestigious British boarding school Marlborough College is one of England’s great schools.  Marlborough College Malaysia opened in August 2012 as a genuine expansion, not a franchise and it is the first independent, British boarding and day school to open a campus in Malaysia.
