The Ministry of Education (MOE) has come up to clarity allegations that the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) Bahasa Malaysia paper included a racist question.

Citing photographs that have gone viral in social media recently, a representative from the ministry was quoted to say that it was neither a question in the exam paper nor was the MOE involved in any role in the formulation of the question.

Furthermore, the MOE condemns the irresponsible act done by individuals spreading rumors and false information in light of the recent fiascos involving the Ministry and the UPSR exams.

The recent leaked UPSR papers for English and Science have sparked a nation-wide investigation amid public outcry. Some 400,000 students will be retaking the papers this 30th September.
