Singapore has never been a cheap destination for foreigners but it has always been the go to nation for education purposes. Even the current Indonesian President had chosen an International school for his son.However, the country's allure as an education hub is dimming fast. Asia News Network reported that the number of student pass holders had dwindled from 84,000 two years ago to a current 75,000 which includes secondary schools, polytechnics and universities.Students and parents are citing higher tuition fees and living costs, caused partly by a strong Singapore currency.
