Malaysian Government Targeting Private Religious Schools for Terrorism

In perhaps the same vein of UKs proposal to monitor the behaviour and interaction of toddlers in preschool for terrorism, Astro Awani has reported that Malaysia's Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar had announced that police are closely watching all private religious schools in the country to prevent the spread of militant ideologies.

Special scrutiny is being placed upon Madrasah Nurul Hidayah, a private religious school co-founded by former PAS Kedah member Mohd Lofti Ariffin who died last year alongside Islamic State militants in Syria.
