NPR, a Washington based non-profit online radio news portal has listed 15 predictions that are said will influence the education world, specifically in the United States.

Some of these may easily apply to Malaysia at the rate we are growing as an international hub for education:

Kindergarten entry tests

In 2015, we will see kindergarten entry assessments (KEAs) effectively implemented as a key transition from the early years to elementary school. Designed to “cut through clutter”, the KEA aims to improve instruction for young children said Rhian Evans Allvi, the Executive Director for the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

More accessible online learning

Many practical “bitesize” programs are being offered freely online for busy working adults but this year we will see it's implementation in schools, said Andrew Wait, President of lynda.com .

Playing games in the classroom

The introduction of game-like platforms that allow teachers to creatively customize teaching content will be more widespread this year. Educators may use existing games such as Jeopardy and tweak it for use in the classroom.
