British Council To Open International School in KL

The UK Secretary of State for Business, Innovation & Skills, Sajid Javid, made the announcement together with UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s launch of a “Year of Education” between Malaysia and the UK.

The school, which is set to open in 2018, will be located in Sentul West in Kuala Lumpur and will be able to accommodate up to 1,500 students, aged three to 18.

Students will learn under a bilingual and bicultural curriculum, based on the National Curriculum of England.Nevertheless, additions will be made in order to include crucial components of Malaysian education.

The British Council anticipates most of the students will be Malaysian citizens.
