GIS alumna shares her life at Oxford

Bianca Hoh had always aspired to enter Oxford, the oldest and most renowned English university in Britain. Her dreams came true when she was accepted to read law at Balliol College.The Garden International School (GIS) alumna offers this advice for prospective candidates: “Don’t be afraid of the interview. Contrary to what some may think, the interviewers want you to perform well."Bianca was invited as one of the student panel during the Leaps of Knowledge Conference 2015 held at GIS to share her experience to more than 500 participants comprising parents, teachers and students from schools within Malaysia.

The event which was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Education II, Y.B. Tuan P. Kamalanathan brought together professors from the University of Oxford to encourage Malaysian students to aspire to further their studies there and at other top British universities.The conference was the culmination of a 4-day summer school programme conducted by St Anne’s College at Garden International School. The St Anne’s College, University of Oxford Summer School KL saw 175 Malaysian students undergo an intensive programme focused on seven areas i.e. Law, Geography, Physics, Mathematics, Material Science, International Relations and Politics.
