GIS Awarded Innovative Learning Program Award

The Innovating Learning Award was recently awarded to Garden International School (GIS) by 21st Century for implementing the innovative learning program at the school. The team consists of James Wellings, Director of Innovative Learning and teachers i.e. Andrew Rankin, Alex Turner, Nicky Fairweather and Katie O"Neil.

GIS is the only school in Malaysia to receive the Global Innovation Award 2016, beating entries from 26 countries by demonstrating the best practices and exemplary values in 21st Century schools.

Director of Innovative Learning, James Wellings commented, “Garden International School is both proud and delighted to receive the award. The Large Scale Enquiry Program has grown and developed over the past four years and is something of which we are very proud. It provides wonderful experiences for both our students and staff whilst also acting as a driver of innovative pedagogy and the effective use of technology to aid learning,”.

James Wellings was responsible for leading the design and construction of the program.
