Axiata National Secondary School Leadership Development Programme

The National Secondary School Leadership Development Programme (NSSLDP) is the first track of leadership development track in Axiata Young Talent Programme (AYTP).The National Secondary School Leadership Development Programme (NSSLDP) is a 5-year programme open to all Year 6 primary school students who are looking to gain the upper hand over their peers in terms of the development of their critical skills and command of leadership competencies.The programme which incorporates the AYTP curriculum – in the form of experiential workshops, community projects, online learning, personal reflection, coaching, and mentoring – is designed to complement academics.

Selection Body and Process

A private, fully residential school founded in 1995, Kolej Yayasan Saad (KYS) marked as a “Centre of Excellence”, prides itself for producing straight-A students for both Pentaksiran Tingkatan 3 (PT3) and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations year after year.KYS conducts a yearly selection process that consists of aptitude tests, interviews, and presentations to ensure an exclusive selection of only the best performing students in Malaysia.

Value of Scholarship

The National Secondary School Leadership Development Programme (NSSLDP) scholarship (Full/Partial)* will cover five years of secondary school education, subject to Axiata Foundation’s terms and conditions.The coverage includes school fees, text books, school uniforms, and a laptop**. A non-curriculum fund will also be provided to encourage student participation in school based extra-curricular activities. In addition to the school related fees, Axiata Foundation will also bear the full cost of NSSLDP initiatives.*Full/Partial scholarship is subject to eligibility and household income.**Subject to terms and conditions.

Eligible Applicants:

• Malaysian citizenship or Permanent Resident. *Not applicable to employees of Axiata Group of Companies
• Minimum 6As in Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) and UPSR trial exam.
• Exceptional performance in both academics and extracurricular activities.
