School Facts

Australian International School Malaysia (AISM) was founded to deliver an Australian education and is a member of Taylor’s Education Group. Established in 2000, AISM is the only international institution in Malaysia that offers classes based entirely on the Australian Curriculum. Students from Pre-School to Year 12 are exposed to a syllabus that emphasises communication, leadership, teamwork and problem solving skills to help them  become successful learners and quality graduates.

Teaching and Learning

Australian International School Malaysia is registered and accredited to deliver the Australian, New South Wales Board of Studies curriculum. The curriculum is adapted to include an international perspective and draws on best practice from many similar well known curriculum models from around the world.

The curriculum prepares students for further education in Australia and the rest of the world. Students are taught skills that will make them employable in the workforce. Communication, leadership, teamwork and problem solving are key skills imparted by the teaching staff through class and outdoor activities.

With a 21 acre campus ground, AISM provides a conducive environment in which students are able to learn and grow. Students have the opportunity to enjoy the wide and green spaces of the campus to learn beyond the classroom amid the plethora of facilities available.

With a goal to accomodate more students in the future, the school has already begun expansion plans to serve the students better here at AISM. Already the school has a new Junior School building which opened in Februrary 2014 which greatly increased the school’s learning space and facilities. These facilities include state of the art learning spaces as well as outstanding facilities for art, music, drama, dance, information technology and sport.

The school also has an emphasis for ICT technology and intergrates it into the school curriculum and facilities.
