Introduction

Australia is a leading global education powerhouse with some of the world’s best education institutions, providing local and international students with quality education. Universities all over the world recognise qualification from Australian schools. Graduates from Australian schools are highly sought after due to the impressive international reputation of the Australian education system. This system is carefully regulated by the Australian government in order to maintain the high standards of education associated with the country.

Starting January 2018, the Peninsula heritage expands to Malaysia, with the opening of the Peninsula International School Australia with campuses in Setia Alam, Selangor and Ipoh, Perak. Peninsula International School Australia is a partnership between Peninsula Grammar and The HCK Group. The latter is part of a diversified group, while Peninsula Grammar, previously known as The Peninsula School, is a well-known private, day and boarding school in Melbourne, Australia, set up in 1961. It also has three affiliated campuses in China and one in India.

As a partner, Peninsula Grammar will help ensure that the high standards of education offered in its Australian campus is replicated in the Setia Alam and Ipoh campuses. This strong partnership between Peninsula International School Australia and Peninsula Grammar brings over 55 years of high quality education based on the Australia’s Victorian Curriculum.

Peninsula International School Australia will offer the Victorian curriculum, internationally acknowledged as a comprehensive system that helps mould well-rounded students. The curriculum is designed and strictly supervised by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), a statutory body in Victoria, Australia. The Victorian Curriculum is being offered in over 25 international schools in countries ranging from China to South Africa leading to the prestigious Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), a university entrance exam recognised by leading tertiary institutes in Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe as well as the United States of America.

An education at the Peninsula International School Australia means our graduates leave equipped to flourish on their respective personal and professional journeys. They are well-rounded, resilient, resourceful and principled people empowered to make a significant community contribution wherever they find themselves.

Teaching and Learning

The Peninsula International School Australia provides a holistic, quality education system for 21st century needs, delivered by selected qualified teachers, with an emphasis on individual learning and critical thinking, to help its students to discover and develop their talents and to fulfil their potential. This is done through the curriculum from the state of Victoria in Australia which we regard as exemplary, adaptable to our particular needs and well tested for international application.

At Peninsula International School Australia, it is our aim that all students be provided with opportunities to reach their potential and as such, we celebrate personal bests and personal performance, rather than performance measures.

From Prep to Year 12, learning is tailored to individual abilities, interests and learning styles by warm, accessible teachers who employ a broad range of teaching strategies. Our skilled staff modifies instruction and monitor individual progress to ensure students benefit from timely and appropriate extension and support. This accounts for the School’s consistently excellent VCE results.

Whether your child joins us at the beginning of the school journey or midway, he or she will be equally welcomed and invited to maximise the benefits that flow from being valued and enriched in a caring and personalised learning environment.
