About Rafflesia Private School Kajang
Rafflesia Private School Kajang: Dedicated to the vision and mission to be the school of choice with international recognition and offering both the International UK curriculum and the national Malaysia Secondary School curriculum, Rafflesia International & Private Schools Kajang campus stands tall as an education establishment. The philosophy of the school is to provide a tailor-made holistic and individualised education to serve the need of grooming the next generation to be global thinkers and leaders.The school shares it's campus with Rafflesia International School here in Kajang.
Rafflesia Private School Kajang, Sekolah Menengah Rafflesia (SMR) follows the Malaysia KBSM programme where students complete the national curriculum from Form 1 to Form 5 and sit for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) at the end of Form 5.
Mathematics and Science are taught in English, and students who are interested to sit for IGCSE may take up the subjects and its examinations at Rafflesia. The school will support every child in acquiring lifelong learning habits and a love for knowledge. Using Bahasa Malysia as a medium of instruction SRR will emphasise language Proficiency (English and Mandarin) where the three major languages of the nation are given equal focus.
Co-curricular activities are specifically tailored for both International and Private schools to broaden students’ skills, talents and interests in a wide range of fields. Through these activities, they learn to develop teamwork, social and leadership skills as well as discipline and responsibility. The school’s CCA programme provides a large number of opportunities for students, to complement their academic studies.
Incorporating Future School features to provide a holistic learning environment, Rafflesia Kajang campus is designed and equipped with the latest ICT infrastructure, with each classroom being fitted with an Apple TV and the use of iPads, iMacs and Macbook laptops to enhance the teaching and learning process.
Situated in the modern and upcoming township of Kajang 2, the purpose built Rafflesia Kajang campus is fully covered with WiFi hotspots to ensure students to have the world at their fingertips. Other amenities are provided with the purpose of encouraging and supporting the holistic development of students beyond the classroom.
The amphitheater, workshops, laboratories complement the teaching and learning process of students and teachers alike. Sports facilities include tennis court, basketball & volleyball court, a large football pitch, squash courts, a swimming pool and a large Multi Purpose Hall. Medical services and student counseling are provided to ensure the wholesome development of Rafflesia students.
Adhering to Rafflesia’s global vision, strategic educational collaboration ties have been established with several world leading educational institutions. Through our collaborative partners, Tsinghua Experimental School in Shenzhen, China; St. Mary’s School in the USA and Chinese International School in Singapore, Rafflesia students, teachers and families are exposed to an educationally, professionally and culturally enriched environment.
