Sunway International School (SIS) celebrates the month of May winning ‘Gold’ in the Reader’s Digest (RD) Trusted Brand Award 2016.Congratulations to Sunway International School, for being the first and only school to win this prestigious award for the Private/International School Category since its introduction in 2015.SIS’s Executive Director, Cheng Mien Wee, received the Award on behalf of the School from YB Puan Hajah Nancy Shukri, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department at the celebration dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur.SIS’s accolades this year also include the ‘5-Star’ rating for private and international schools by the Ministry of Education (MOE) Malaysia. SIS was rated excellent for achieving the highest rating in the Standard Kualiti Institusi Pendidikan Swasta (SKIPS) 2015.“SIS is honored by this Award. We thank our students and parents for their trust and support in choosing SIS as their international school of choice”, SIS’s positive reputation arises from the good work of caring and experienced teachers and administrators at the School”, said Cheng.The Reader's Digest Trusted Brand Award is a significant distinction for SIS. The survey, conducted by independent global consumer research organisation, canvassed a representative sample of approximately 5,000 individuals in six of Asia’s key markets: Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, India and Taiwan.Cheng believed that these awards and recognition will inspire staff and students at SIS to do more and contribute greatly to the community. At Sunway International School, the motto is “Nurturing Minds, Building Character”.
