The Albukhary Scholarship Programme Is Now Open For Application

The Albukhary Scholarship Programme offers opportunities for bright, high-achieving and underprivileged individuals from around the world to pursue undergraduate studies at Albukhary International University. The programme will nurture our scholars as the next corps of responsible future leaders that will shape nation building.The Albukhary Scholarship Programme comprises of the following scheme:-

1. Albukhary Equity Scholarship
2. Refugee Education Dream (RED) Scholarship
3. Regional Awards
4. Leadership, Academic and Service Excellence Awards
5. Campus Residence Grant

However, application is now open for Albukhary Equity Scholarship and Refugee Education Dream (RED) Scholarship only.

1. Albukhary Equity Scholarship

Scholarship Overview

• Full scholarship programme provided by Albukhary Foundation
• Available for all undergraduate courses and foundation studies programmes
• Aimed to provide scholarship to underprivileged students who have outstanding records in academic performance
• Tenable at Albukhary International University (AIU)

Eligibility

• Outstanding academic achievement in GCE ‘O’ level or ‘A’ level or other equivalent exam. Minimum academic requirements:

Programme	'O' level	'A' level
Foundation Studies Programme	3As (including Maths and English) and 2Bs	N/A
Undergraduate Programme	3As (including Maths and English) and 2Bs	2As and 1B

• Twenty-two (22) years of age and below (as per calendar year)
• Must be from underprivileged background

2. Refugee Education Dream (RED) Scholarship

Overview

• Full scholarship programme provided by the Albukhary Foundation
• Available for all undergraduate courses and foundation studies programme
• Aimed to provide scholarship to refugees/asylum seekers who are registered under UNHCR Malaysia office
• Tenable at Albukhary International University (AIU)

Eligibility

• Must be registered as refugees/asylum seekers  under UNHCR office in Malaysia
• Outstanding academic achievement in GCE ‘O’ level or ‘A’ level or other equivalent exam. Minimum academic requirements:

Programme	'O' level	'A' level
Foundation Studies Programme	5Bs (including Maths and English)	N/A
Undergraduate Programme	5Bs (including Maths and English)	3Bs

• Must be from underprivileged background

How to apply?

Required Documents?

• Certified true copies of National Identification/Passport or any authorised identification
• Certified true copies of UNHCR Card (For Refugee/Asylum seeker applicants only)
• Certified true copies of GCE ‘O’ Level/’A’ Level, SPM/STPM, or any other equivalent certificates
• Certified true copies of School Leaving Certificate/References
• Two (2) Referees Recommendation Letter (Referee Information Sheet)
• Four (4) copies of recent passport-size, blue background measuring 3.5cm x 5 cm (Please write your name & Passport/ID No. behind the photo)
• Five (4) photos of your house (outside, kitchen, living room, bedroom) and photos must be 4R size (Refer to Appendix for sample photo)
• Recent Financial Statement/Confirmation of parent’s income or recent pay slip or Income Verification Form
• Certified true copy of any other relevant documents i.e. Death Certificate of Parent(s), co-curriculum activities etc.
• Evidence of other funding/financial assistance
• No Objection Certificate (NOC)(Applicable for candidates from the Sub-Saharan African countries or other nationalities who have studied in the Sub-Saharan African countries)
• Affidavit letter (For difference in the names on personal documents)
• Evidence of English Proficiency Examination (IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent) – Optional
