A revolutionary education venture known as 'Edunation' has been launched by a volunteer driven private organisation, Edunation Sdn Bhd. Edunation aims to give Malaysian students equal access to complete and free online education, specifically to rural and poor students. The programme is a collaboration between Brickfields Asia College and Khan Academy. The programme includes online teaching of videos for mathematics, sciences, economics, accounting and languages such as English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Edunation was meant to change the way students learn, by initiating them to take charge of their behavioural study rather than dependant on what was given in schools, said Edunation Founder Edmond Yap.

"Students can watch, learn and revise as many chapters as they wished, they can practice their comprehension to their own desire and they also can chat with anyone in and around Malaysia, parents, teachers, volunteers and fellow students in search for answers," he added.

The SchoolAdvisor team talked to Edmond and here are Edunation's plans for the near future.
