16 Holiday Camps Your Child Might Enjoy

The end (of the year) is nigh! What does that mean? School holidays and restless kids with nowhere to go? Fret not, for the season of holiday programmes and camps is also here! Schooladvisor.my took the liberty of compiling a list of them that your child may like here.

LANGUAGE CAMPS

1. Julia Gabriel Centre

Venue: Julia Gabriel Centres (Bangsar, Mont' Kiara)

Dates: 27 - 30 November

Age group: 1½ to 12 years

About: Spend your holidays diving into great children's literature, exploring performance, getting creative with puppets, and engaging in drama, role-play, language games and creative writing.

2. Enhance Academy

Venue: Enhance Academy (Klang)

Dates: 27 November - 1 December, 4 - 8 December

Age group: 4 years to teens

About: Enhance Academy designed courses for all levels of students from preschool and primary school to secondary school with a different theme for each level. Kids will have so much fun during the 5 day programme, they won't realize they are learning English!

3. British Council Malaysia

Venue:  British Council Malaysia (KL/Mutiara Damansara/Penang)

Dates: 4 - 8 December

Age group: 5 - 17 years

About: The intensive 5-Day English Speaking and Writing holiday workshops at British Council Malaysia will boost your child's ability to communicate both in spoken and written English to his peers, teachers and other adults with greater confidence.  Each of the 5-day programmes are tailor made for different age groups starting from 5 to 17 years to train kids in writing, organizing, editing, public speaking, debating, presentation skills and more.

4. Lorna Whiston Centre

Venue: Lorna Whiston (Taman Tun Dr Ismail)

Dates: 4 - 8 December

Age group: 4 - 18 years

About: English Language, Speech and Drama, Public Speaking courses are available for kids from age 4 to 18 this year end holiday at Lorna Whiston Taman Tun. Exciting story book themes and creative writing workshops are available for every age group to hone students' speaking, reading, listening and writing skills this holiday.

5. EMS English School

Venue: EMS (Damansara, KL)

Dates: 11- 22 December, 2 December - 5 January

Age group: 6 - 15 years

About: When school ends, EMS School Break Camp kicks into action to help children and teenagers stay active whilst having fun at learning English.

OUTDOOR CAMPS

1. Junior Explorers

Venue: Junior Explorers 1 City (Subang Jaya)

Dates: 27 - 29 November

Age group: 4 - 15 years

About: The Wild Life is a 3-day holiday camp by Junior Explorer that consists of activities such as creative Lego, adventure games, arts & crafts, kids yoga.

2. Nature School for Kids

Venue: Lenggong, Perak

Dates: 30 November - 3 December, 14- 17 December

Age group: 3-12 years, adults

About: The 4 days, 3 nights nature school weekend is designed for parents and children to just be in nature and nothing else! Little but meaningful adventures bring the best learning experiences and memories.  There will be half day activities in the mornings, jungle trekking, exploring streams, gardening, making your own herbal medicines, batik art painting and feeding the farm animals.

ART & PERFORMING ARTS CAMPS

1. British Academy of Performing Arts

2. Perfect Cadence Music School

About: Perfect Cadence Music School's Music Holiday Camp is back! This time, they are going to fuse modern technology together with music and discover the endless possibilities in creating music in their "Little Music Creator" Holiday Camp!

3. Stage 69 Productions

Venue: Stage 69 Productions, Blackbox (Subang Jaya)Dates: 4 - 7 DecemberAge group: 7 - 12 yearsAbout: Stage 69 Productions' Musical Theatre Holiday Programmes in KL session focus on training their students to sing, dance and act. The students will be taught the basic skills in order to perform a musical theatre number. It could be Disney, West End or a famous Broadway Musical. SPORTS CAMPS

1. Heroes Youth Football Leadership Camp

Venue: Outbac, Broga (Semenyih)

Dates: 11 - 13 December

Age group: 10 - 17 years

About: In this camp, boys and girls ages 10-17 years old will learn valuable leadership skills through indoor and outdoor sessions. The program will inspire students with aspirations to be future leaders, whether in the football or real world.

2. Kepong BC

Venue: Powerful Sports Arena (Kuala Lumpur)

Dates: 26 November - 2 December, 3 - 9 December, 10 - 16 December, 17 - 23 December

About: The second annual Kepong BC December Holiday Badminton Camp is back!

ROBOTICS AND SCIENCE CAMPS

1. Kidocode

Venue: Kidocode (Mont' Kiara)

Age group: 6 - 18 years

About: This school holidays your child can experience the MIT & Google Programming Class For Kids And Teens at KIDOCODE, Solaris Month Kiara. This demo class for kids & teens age 6-18 is 3  hours long and are for kids who are interested to know the basics of Mobile App Development, Python combined with IGCSE Mathematics, Electronics, Web Development, Game Development, and lots more! Children will learn coding through fun and exciting activities that will enhance their computational thinking skills.

2. Kiddo Science

Venue: Kiddo Science Sri Petaling (Kuala Lumpur)

Age group: 5 - 12 years

3. Junior Explorers

4. Code Juniors

Venue: Tuanku Bainun Children's Creative Center (TTDI)

Dates: 6 - 8 December, 13 - 15 December, 19 - 21 December

Age group: 5 - 15 years

About: Code Juniors provides different camps according to age groups. 5-8 year olds will join the Little Juniors Coding Camp, 7-10 year olds in Lego Robotics and 9-15 year olds can join camps that cover either Scratch Programming & Application Making or Programming with Microbit.
