(KPPK) is requesting the Ministry of Education to provide a briefing that is clear and in detail to school teachers, regarding the Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah (KSSM), which will be implemented in 2017.The secretary-general, Datuk Lok Yim Pheng said this is an important step because many teachers still do not get the proper explanation.KSSM was launched in 2012 to support an accelerated learning pathway for high-performing students to complete their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) in four years rather than five years.In addition, he said KPPK is waiting to meet with the Textbook Division of the ministry to address a number of issues involving textbooks."So far there are 20 issues; such as using the old measure, the use of inappropriate terms and content of textbooks is not right," he said. - Bernama
