A school built upon on sound principles of education and not profit margins, Matrix Global Schools aim to be at the forefront of ground changing educational work and initiatives.  Offering private, international and preschool education options, MGS’s motto of ‘Second to none’ reflects on the grand aspirations and ambitions of the school.

A familiar name within the education sector, Felix Lee epitomises the phrase ‘been there, done that’. Former President of NAPEI (The National Private Education Institution Association), Lee has been the brains behind many successful ventures in private education for the past 20 years. It is with this passion and zeal that he brings forward Matrix Global Schools as the new front to education.

Behind him are some prominent educationists who have made their mark in Malaysia including Chris Frankland, a man who has championed education previously with CfBT, a non-profit education consultancy. He will lead the way at Matrix International School as its principal.

The school campus is indeed a significant distance away from Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley. While some may cringe at the prospect of driving for more than an hour on the highway into Bandar Sri Sendayan, the school’s location is an underlying advantage despite the distance.

Away from the congestion in the Klang Valley, Bandar Sri Sendayan offers a quiet and calming environment, which is perfect for a school that seeks to teach and nurture 2,500 students.

As the school is a joint cooperation with the developers of Bandar Sri Sendayan, Matrix Concepts Holding (MCHB), it was afforded a land space of 20 acres and is built to accommodate more than just the usual facilities one would get in a regular international school. Modelled after British residential colleges, Matrix Global Schools encourages learning beyond the classroom and provides facilities for various sporting activities like rugby, kayaking and even flying fox.

While there is still some time before its completion this September, Matrix Global Schools has also made waves in the community it is located in. Applications for enrolment have already begun despite the scaffolding and safety helmets on site. Lead by Lee, the school has also begun its outreach to the communities nearby by encouraging the application of educational skills in real-life situations through a wide range of activities. The school has set aside a large sum to proceed with these programmes, which will include a summer camp on school grounds.

Beyond that, MGS has already immersed itself in collaborations with several institutions from different industries and background. From a Fortune 500 company, to Ellesmere College in the UK, Matrix Global Schools is well on its way to becoming second to none.
