MMAM, BAE Systems in pact to develop future engineers

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Might-Meteor Advanced Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (MMAM) and BAE Systems to cultivate interest among secondary students through school outreach programmes. The programme is designed to develop future engineers through exposure to new learning experiences, said MMAM Executive Director Jasmin Baba."MIGHT-Meteor focuses on human capital development for high-technology industries and is now driving with new approaches such as identifying the capabilities of the younger generation and providing a platform to enhance these talents," she said.

The outreach programme will feature yearly school programmes and high-technology training sessions for university graduates nationwide, according to BAE Systems Regional Managing Director South East Asia John Brosnan. BAE systems is a UK-headquartered multinational defence, security and aerospace company.
