Montessori Preschools in Malaysia

The Montessori method was developed by Maria Montessori in Rome in the early 1900s. The programme is child centered, focusing on the child's ability to learn in an encouraging setting and at their own pace.

The teachers are there to guide, they would thoughtfully prepare a classroom environment with materials and activities that meet his students’ unique interests.

That focus on letting children learn at their own pace also affects how classrooms are arranged. The teacher, child, and environment create a learning triangle. The classroom is prepared by the teacher to encourage independence, freedom within limits, and a sense of order.

There are several preschool in Kuala Lumpur that follows the Montessori philosophy. Below are notable preschools in Malaysia that offers the Montessori curriculum:

 

1. Brainy Bunch International Islamic Montessori (BBIIM)
