Tenby Schools is a rapidly expanding group of international and Malaysian private schools in Malaysia.Having started in Ipoh, there are now also Tenby Schools in Penang, Setia Eco Park in Shah Alam, Miri in Sarawak and Setia Eco Gardens in Johor Bahru.Tenby's vision, “A United World At Peace – Through Education” is shared by all of Tenby schools. Tenby Schools Ipoh was established in 1960 by British expatriates who wanted their children to receive high-quality education based on the British system. The school started as an expatriate kindergarten that became an international school, Tenby International School (TIS), Ipoh.TIS, Ipoh is also the first school in the group to offer the Cambridge International A-Level Programme since 2010, alongside the other curricula on the same campus.
With their strong reputation, Tenby expanded to Penang and established the Tenby Schools Penang in 2007, followed by Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park in Shah alam in 2008.The Setia Eco Park branch was the first purpose-built school in the group. Located on a 20-acre site in the award-winning Setia Eco Park development.In 2013, Tenby Schools saw potential to expand in Sarawak. The opening of Tenby International School (TIS), Miri marked the first time that international education became available to both expatriates and Malaysians living in Miri.
Tenby School has grown since their birth in 1960, with 4 branches in major cities and towns in Malaysia, they continue to strive for quality education. Recently Tenby Schools has announceed that Tenby Schools Malaysia will be expanding to include a new school in Setia EcoHill Semenyih. The school is expected to start operation in September 2016.
