MOE awarded Innovation Award in the US

The Ministry of Education (MOE) was announced as part of the list of honorees at the VMware Innovation Awards in recognition for initiative under the “Transforming IT by Defying Convention” with the deployment of some 25,000 virtual desktops across the country in some 1,200 schools.
Part of the National Education Blueprint in the modernization of education and bridging the urban-rural divide, the programme invested by the Ministry of Education has provided students access to fast and reliable digital education.
The programme provides for teachers & students access to desktop applications with virtual desktop or cloud deployment. This implementation has greatly benefit schools nationwide especially with schools located in rural areas lacking access to the internet or electricity.
