School Fees To Be Exempted From GST

The Ministry of Finance has announced that schooling fees will be exempted from the Goods And Services Tax (GST) come April 1st next year.
Speaking to reporters, Deputy Finance minister, Datuk Chua Tee Yong said that this exemption on school fees is aligned with the nation’s aspiration on being an education hub.
The implementation of GST by 2015 will see public transportation, education, medical and financial services be exempted from the tax.
