Crescendo-HELP International School (CHIS) has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first school in Johor Bahru to receive the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) Accreditation status for the period of 2024-2028. This recognition, awarded by the International Curriculum Association (ICA), places CHIS among fewer than 50 schools worldwide to have received this prestigious accreditation. The IPC is a comprehensive, globally recognised curriculum that fosters holistic development and instils a lifelong love of learning. IPC emphasises thematic, inquiry-based learning experiences that cultivate critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and develops personal learning skills in students. By integrating international-mindedness and respect for cultural diversity, IPC prepares students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world, fostering global competency and encouraging them to take action to have a positive impact on the world in which we live.

Achieving IPC accreditation is a remarkable benchmark for CHIS, showcasing the school's commitment to providing top-tier education and innovative learning and teaching methods. The accreditation process involves a thorough self-review and external assessment of the school's implementation of the international curriculum, focusing on the quality of learning experiences provided to students. During the ICA accreditation team’s visit to CHIS in February 2024, the accreditors recognised the school's dedication to fostering the "Joy of Learning" among its young learners and commended the collaborative relationship between the school and its parent community.

Principal Paul Starkie expressed his pride in the achievement, stating “IPC accreditation is a testament to the quality and innovative spirit of our school and an assurance that our students are receiving the very best in international education." The accreditation report highlighted the quality of the school's IPC provision, highlighting its comprehensive approach and effective implementation.

Dr. Gerard Louis, Chairman of CHIS's Board of Governors and CEO of The HELP Group of Schools, emphasised the significance of the milestone, saying, "This extraordinary accomplishment underscores the exceptional commitment and dedication of our educators and the high standard of teaching and learning we offer our students."

Crescendo-HELP International School looks forward to leveraging this achievement to continue its mission of providing a high-quality educational experience that prepares students for success in an ever-changing world.
