Nord Anglia Education has partnered with UNICEF in an effort to develop learning materials as underlined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs), simultaneously encouraging Nord Anglia’s students in 30 countries to gain knowledge and skills required to make a positive change in their communities.

Through this three-year partnership, Nord Anglia’s students will be exposed to tackling global sustainability through local action, getting involved in the UN High Level Political Forum, and gaining leadership and project management skills; all to equip them to become the leaders of tomorrow.

June Kunugi, the Director of Public Partnerships at UNICEF, said, “We are committed to helping every child and youth globally to be equipped with the knowledge, tools and support to take action to protect the future of our communities and our planet.”

On their partnership with Nord Anglia, “We are thankful to Nord Anglia Education for their global collaboration and support on our efforts to help children realise their rights and create a new generation of change-makers.”

The Chief Executive Officer of Nord Anglia Education, Andrew Fitzmaurice, said, “As educators, we have an important responsibility to make sure the next generation is empowered to create a more equitable future for all.

“As our global partnership with UNICEF shows, we believe in giving young people an education that broadens their understanding of how they can impact important issues,” he commented.

Both organisations’ goal is to amplify young voices while providing them opportunities to grow into skilful and capable leaders.

The UN’s Department of Economic and Social Affairs has come up with seventeen goals encouraging global partnership to harmonise and eradicate issues faced in the world.

Nord Anglia’s school in Malaysia, The British International School of Kuala Lumpur (BSKL), will be participating in the programme. BSKL’s students will be contributing to the Malaysian communities while partaking in championing rights on the global stage.
