Sayfol International School KL offers Performing Art which comprises instrumental performance, singing, dancing and drama, which benefits the discipline and health of the students.

Performing Arts are essential skills that allow students to build confidence through public performances and presentations. It comprises Music, Dance and Drama. At Sayfol International School, our students are given a chance to break away from their core schedules to perform with their friends and give them much-needed engagement and relaxation. This has proven to help students excel better in their studies.

Our school emphasises instrumental performances, mainly Singing and Dancing. Other performing arts activities in our school include Public Speaking, Drama and Chinese Cultural Play which are already a part of our CCA Programme.

Performing Arts does not only teach students how to play an instrument or to sing their favourite songs but train them to be emotionally and mentally sound. The body goes through a “workout” process for their brains and emotions when they perform on their instrument or when they sing. This coherent breathing makes them regulate oxygen into their body system, allowing the brain to function at its peak.

In light of the recent pandemic that has affected our student’s well-being of learning through virtual platforms, our teachers and students have braved the challenges of transforming virtual classes into memorable ones. We held our Sayfol Year-End performance for our Graduates through choreographed shows that includes music, dancing and instrumental performances. On the same note, our Performing Arts assessments have been modified from a live performance in school to video recordings of their own to suit and compliment these challenging times. Projects were done differently so that works from students were compiled together efficiently to adhere to SOPs required.

Performing Arts is not only about the pride of being able to perform in front of the audience, but also the effort that goes behind it - which usually goes unnoticed by the audience. Our students have learned new virtual performing skills that have prepared them for this unchanging world. With this, our students have built good characters of their own, which is a core essence of Performing Arts.

The end result: a celebration of hard work which is reaped by students, teachers and society alike.

At Sayfol, it is our vision that generations of students who have done Performing Arts with us will be able to take the embedded knowledge that we have given them and pursue different paths of their lives appreciating the finer things in life.
