About Baseerah International School
Baseerah International School is an international school with English language as its medium of instruction coupled with Arabic language and Islamic studies. The school’s syllabus is tailored towards the Cambridge International Curriculum.BIS concentrates on developing Islamic values within and outside the classroom. The academic syllabus at BIS is the Cambridge International Primary Programme has an emphasis on the Arabic language and Islamic Studies. BIS aims to produce quality students in an Islamic environment from kindergarten to high school.
Baseerah offers the Cambridge International Curriculum starting with the International Primary Programme and the IGCSE for secondary school. It incorporates elements of the curriculums from the Middle East as well as Malaysia.
The curriculum also consolidates Islamic values and teachings along with the Arabic language. An equal emphasis is also placed on co-curricular activities which provide not only a balanced to the academic requirements but also a healthy lifestyle for the students at the school.
Baseerah's facilities include a network of classroom for the different education stages, computer labs, playground, a spacious prayer hall and a library and resource centre.

Kindergarten
- At Baseerah’s Pre-Primary School, we understand and respect that each child is unique and has different abilities and interests. The pre-primary school curriculum has been designed to nurture the following developmental objectives: Language development. At Baseerah, a lot of emphases is laid on teaching English as a second language. Phonics is used to teach English in a structured manner.
Primary
- Academic syllabus is provided by Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) of the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE, Cambridge Board). Our curriculum helps the students to correlate the learning outcome to the real life. We also focus on improving self-study skills, as it is an essential tool for effective learning. Learning the concepts through activities, projects, and worksheets is an important aspect of our method in teaching for primary level.
Secondary
- Baseerah International School follows Cambridge Secondary 1 prepared typically for learners aged 11 to 14 years. The objective is to develop students’ skills and abilities to understand science and mathematics using English language as the medium of instruction.
IGCSE/ A-Level
- Baseerah International School adopts Cambridge IGCSE, the world’s most popular international qualification to prepare students from 14 to 16-year-olds for A-level or Pre-university degrees.
- At Baseerah International School we recognise the importance of carrying a worldwide recognised certificate. Therefore, we adopt Cambridge International AS & A Levels for students that have successfully passed Cambridge IGCSE examinations. Cambridge AS and A level syllabuses are designed to develop a deep understanding of subjects and independent thinking skills.
