About UCSI International School Kuala Lumpur

At UCSI International School KL, academic success and skills are a key priority. Thus, the combination of Cambridge International Curriculum (British-based Curriculum) and International Primary Curriculum during primary school lay the foundations for secondary school and the rigorous Cambridge IGCSE exams.

Their multinational teachers are all experienced in international school teaching and are well-qualified to deliver the curriculum and guide the students using a student-centred approach.
Learning happens both in and out of the classroom. Their makerspace, science labs, and studios enable hands-on learning. Additionally, they offer a wide range of CCAs (co-curricular activities) to encourage students to stretch their abilities and try new pursuits.

As it is their goal to prepare students for the future, they place a strong emphasis on technology skills, both integrated into the curriculum and as part of the CCA programme. They offer IT, design, and computer science courses. Supported by Apple Education, all teachers utilise iPads, education apps, and other technology to enhance teaching and learning.

  • Safety and Security of the school:

The school has a 24-hour security team. Only one gate is used for entering the school, and only authorized vehicles and pedestrians are allowed to enter. Staff are trained in child protection and emergency procedures. A full-time school nurse is on campus.

  • Behaviour for Learning:

Students are expected to follow the school code of behaviour. When necessary, measures such as meeting with the relevant teacher or head of school are implemented. Parents are contacted depending on the situation. Corporal punishment is never used.

  • Homework:

Homework is given as needed to provide further practice or time for completing tasks. It is not an end itself, but a tool to support classroom learning. Students should also use out-of-school time for development in other ways, such as playing with friends and exploring other interests.
