About Dalat International School
Dalat International School was originally founded in Vietnam in 1929, this private Christian boarding school now makes its permanent home in Penang. In line with its strong spiritual leaning, DIS encourages student involvement in community activities as well as academic and biblical studies. The Dalat International School since 1971 has been located in a 7.5 acre square land in Penang, it has a library of 20,000 catalogued books and claims hundreds of online periodical subscriptions.Dalat International School offers the North American curriculum, as well as Advanced Placement courses to qualified students for the opportunity to do college-level work in high school and earn college credit.
For boarding, Dalat provides separate boys and girls bedroom wings which most have ensuite bathrooms, separate study rooms, common living and dining area, a dorm parent apartment, a medical infirmary and a resident nurse.
Dalat also provides academic guidance, emotional counselling, special services for learning disabilities, and Distance Learning Resource Centre (DLRC).
Nestled in a conducive and green campus, the school has an extensive array of ICT facilites that includes a network of 350 computers on campus, 4 computer labs and an iPad for each student.
The school also is equipped with 3 science laboratories, a band room with a vocal ensemble room, 2 visual arts studio, industrial arts shop, piano room, cafeteria that caters to 250 people at any single time, a gymnasium, a basketball court, tennis court, swimming pool, and 2 grass playing fields.
