About Labuan International School
Labuan International School (LIS) is the first and only private and international school in Labuan. We are here to provide guidance to children on the road to a lifetime of academic and aesthetics opportunities. With more than 20 years of excellent achievements, LIS continues to nurture children in their Mind, Body and Soul to help them developed into well-balanced individuals. LIS in meeting the desired standards, provides Primary and Secondary levels with both National and International curricula hence offering parents the choice of a very much sought after education for their children - an education that resonates 21st Century Learning for the world of global communication and opportunities.Reception at Labuan International School uses an integration of the Singapore and Malaysian curriculum. The School has two different streams at Secondary level, namely National Secondary which uses the Malaysian National Curriculum and the International Secondary where students using an intergrated Malaysian and British curriculum move onto the International General Certificate for Secondary Education (IGCSE) at Year 10 or Year 11.
Primary level curriculum is a combination of the very best in the Malaysian, Singaporean and British curriculums. This provides primary students with the best of numeracy, language and analytical skills available.
Students at LIS receive their very own peronal tutor who is not only in charge of pastoral care but also involved in liaison with the school's teachers and also monitoring the student's academic progress.
Labuan International School is linked via a wireless network and students have in their disposal a wide range of ICT tools to aid their learning. Students and teachers alike are able to access the internet from any point within the school.
There a lot useful facilities in Labuan International School. We have swimming pool, auditorium, classes, offices, art gallery and so forth to ensure that our staffs, teachers and students would have the best privilege on doing their best at work and studies.
Additionally, the school places emphasis on performing arts and sports which is part of its curriculum. This is supported by facilities within LIS that includes indoor and outdoor sporting facilites and dedicated spaces for the arts and music.
