About Lodge International School
Established in 1953, the Lodge International School is run by the non-profit Lodge School Association. It is located in Kuching, Sarawak, the school uses the National British Curriculum and all textbooks used in the school are sourced from the UK. The school has a wide range of extra curricular activities including sports clubs and societies and encourages students to participate in extra curricular activities to broaden their skills and interests.
Lodge International School (LIS) is a long-established international school in Kuching, Sarawak, with roots dating back to 1953. The Lodge Group of Schools originally began as The Lodge Preparatory School and Kindergarten to serve the educational needs of British expatriate children in Kuching. The group later moved to its present Tabuan Jaya location, while the international section developed into a dedicated Cambridge-based pathway.
Today, Lodge International School provides a continuous international education pathway from Cambridge Primary through Cambridge International A Levels, with students progressing through Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE and pre-university studies.
The school describes its educational environment as friendly and conducive to learning, with emphasis on good character, self-discipline, responsibility, respect, appreciation and a desire to learn.
