About Matrix Private School

Situated in the south of Kuala Lumpur, Matrix Private School (MPS), Bandar Sri Sendayan is part of the Matrix Global Schools network which includes the Matrix International School. Aiming not just to be another Private School in the country, MPS has great aspirations to enrich and uplift the lives of students at the school. Scheduled to open with a "soft opening" this September 2014 before being fully operation by January 2015, the school has a total  shared capacity of 2,500 students and is due for completion by July-August 2014.

MPS offers depth and content Malaysian National Curriculum by following and improving the Malaysian Ministry of Education's authorized national-level curriculum. MPS is certified as a Dual Language Programme (DLP) school which offers Mathematics and Science in both Bahasa Melayu and English.

Matrix Private School (MPS) earned a 100% pass record in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Science, Additional Math, Art, Islamic Studies, and Moral in the 2019 SPM examinations with the largest cohort of students (56). Half of the students in the cohort received As in English and over 16% of students received 8As or higher.

This year, Trusted Malaysia named MPS as one of the Top 5 Private Schools in Malaysia for fostering student camaraderie and giving opportunities to learn sports, as well as the creative and performing arts.

Student assessment is based on 3 main components of Primary School Assessment Report (PPSR) which are (i) Pentaksiran Bilik Darjah (PBD, or Classroom Assessment), (ii) Pentaksiran Psikometrik (PPsi or Psychometric Assessment) and (iii) Pentaksiran Aktiviti Jasmani, Sukan dan Kokurikulum (PAJSK, or Physical, Sports and Co-Curriculum Assessment). 

Students that have graduated from the Primary Year group will seamlessly transit into their Secondary Years. From Forms 1 to Form 5, they will continue with the Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah (KSSM), the Malaysian National Secondary School Standard Curriculum.

Students will sit for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination in Form 5. After students are awarded their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), they may choose to continue studying Cambridge A Levels to train themselves with the basic foundation required to further their undergraduate studies.

Matrix Global School is nestled in a green safe haven in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Seremban. The town is 10 minutes away from the Seremban toll and 35 minutes from KLIA. The state-of-the-art MGS campus, which can accommodate up to 2,500 students, is set on a vast 20-acre property amidst rich flora and welcoming surroundings. The MGS Boarding House, located within the school grounds, provides a 21st century boarding experience for students aged 12 to 19.

The requirement to participate in CCA varies by school and age group.

  • It is compulsory for Boarders to have 4 days of CCA.

  • Standard 4 – 6 & Form 1 – 5: compulsory to join minimum of three (3) CCAs as per the Ministry of Education’s requirement which consists of: 

    • 1 uniform unit, 

    • 1 society / club 

    • 1 sports activity 

  • Standard 1 – 3: compulsory to join the CCA unless requested by the parent / guardian to opt out
