About Mutiara International Grammar School (MIGS)
Mutiara International Grammar School (MIGS) is an international school in Ampang Jaya, Selangor , with almost 30 years of educational history . The school was originally developed from the former Rubber Research Institute site and has since grown into a Cambridge-based international school serving students from Early Years through secondary education.
MIGS describes itself as a diverse, inclusive and close-knit international school , welcoming students from different backgrounds and nationalities. Its current educational direction combines academic development with sports, arts, music, technology and experiential learning .
The school's stated vision is “Discovering Potential, Inspiring Excellence” , with a mission focused on developing lifelong learners with intellectual curiosity and a desire to innovate.
Early Years
Nursery & Reception | Ages 3–5
The Early Years programme uses the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as its foundation, adapted into MIGS's Cambridge-based curriculum.

MIGS does not simply accept SEN needs without assessment. Its admissions process specifically asks families to provide any existing SEN specialist reports or medical reports so that the school can determine whether it can provide appropriate care and support.
The school also states that the entrance process can identify additional needs for coaching and instruction .

- 24-hour monitoring through CCTV cameras and security personnel.
- Designated drop-off and pick-up areas within school grounds under close supervision from security personnel.
- Registration and verification of visitors at the guardhouse prior to entering the school.
- Escort by security personnel into school grounds until a point of contact with school staff is reached.
- Approval from Head of School prior to taking out a student during school hours due to illness, injury or any other reasons.
- Prohibition of students leaving the school grounds during school hours.
- Supervised waiting area for late student pick-up after school hours.
- Insurance coverage for every student while at school and during school trips/camps.
- Designated smoke-free zone for the entirety of the schools’ grounds.
- Regular fire and other safety drills are conducted to ensure that our students and staff know what to do in various emergency situations
