Owned by the Nilai Resources Group Bhd, the Nilai International School (NIS) boasts a lush green campus in the quiet suburban town of Putra Nilai. The school is one of Malaysia's largest international school and is fully equipped with modern sporting facilities as it firmly believes that learning goes beyond the confinement of a classroom.

Nilai International School offers the Cambridge International Primary Programme for children aged 5 - 7 (Keystage 1) and ages 7 - 11 (Keystage 2) followed by the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme for ages 11 - 14 (Keystage 3) and subsequently Middle Secondary qualification or International Cambridge General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) for ages 14 - 16.

There are weekly intensive social and communication training classes for students called Kids’ Café (primary) and ‘Teens CAFÉ’ (secondary) where students learn effective communication and social skills.

The school also has a partnership with Western Autistic School (WAS), Melbourne, Autralia which provides an Education Support Unit (ESU) for children with Asperger Syndrome and High-functioning Autism. Prior to enrollment, students will undergo an assessment at Shine Child Guidance Center and will subsequently be assessed by the ESU with the help of WAS before further special individual learning programmes are designed.

Purpose built to world class standards, the facilities at NIS are designed to provide a stimulating and conducive learning environment for students set amid the lush green campus grounds. This includes a network of fully air-conditioned classrooms that all come equiped with smartboards, extensive ICT facilities with a full wi-fi network around the school and an indoor sports complex that caters to a wide range of sport activites ranging from basketball to swimming.

The school's cafeteria is of the highest quality with stringent hygiene standards that provide well balanced nutrition. Constant feedback on the cafeteria and menu is given by students and teachers alike in order to maintain the quality. Primary school students have their meals alongside their teachers at NIS.
