About REAL International School - Cheras
REAL Schools was founded in 1985, and has 28 years worth of experience in quality educational services. There are currently three REAL International School campuses, namely in Shah Alam, Cheras, and Johor.Each campus of REAL Schools offers both an international curriculum and the Malaysian national curriculum. Selected schools have obtained the ISO certification and they have won the prestigious NAPEI Education Excellence Awards (Schools category) in 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012.
REAL International School Cheras (RIS) offer the Cambridge International Curriculum through Early Years, Primary and Secondary programmes. Classes range from Nursery through to Year 11, culminating in the IGCSEs. One of the only two schools is Malaysia that is authorised to run the practical sciences programme for IGCSE, this includes the Chemistry, Biology and Physics subjects for IGCSE with dedicated teaching staff, certification and facilities in the schools.
Beyond the intensive Cambridge curriculum, the REAL International Schools also has several internally designed curriculums and programes such as the Lego Education programme which provides students the opportunity to build functional robotic lego models, giving students free rein in creativity and also practical lessons in a fun environment.
Beyond the dedicated and certified teaching staff, the REAL School also places a great importance on pastoral care of students and monitor the emotional development as well as the academic progress of the students. REAL International School Cheras students are also encouraged to take charge of the learning experience via collaborative and empowering work within and beyond the campus.
All REAL School campuses offer ready facilities that include ICT and science labs, well-stocked Primary and Secondary libraries, AV (or audio-visual) rooms, art rooms, an auditorium hall, basketball and volleyball courts, and half Olympic-sized swimming pools, among others.
REAL Schools are constantly being reviewed and the school management is looking to expand or upgrade their range of facilities in order to provide students with what they need in order to excel in their curriculum as well as extracurricular activities.
