About Sekolah Tinta
Welcome to Sekolah Tinta, Malaysia’s First Islamic STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering andMathematic) School. It was founded in late 2017, strategically located in Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
This is where future leaders with attitude, visions, skills and great mind is developed. Students will
use scientific, technological and mathematical principles in real- life applications such as design,
engineering, and service projects that would contribute to the community. At Sekolah Tinta, the
lesson will be more on how to think instead of what to think and the conversation will be led by
peers instead of teacher-led discussion. Our staff and teachers are committed to use innovative,
cooperative methods and interdisciplinary curriculum that embraces creativity. Sekolah Tinta also
inculculate Islamic ethics and values into its curriculum and activities to achieve our aims of
instilling Islamic education in the realm of STEM curriculum.
In line with government ongoing efforts towards further developing the potential of individuals in a holistic and integrated manner, Sekolah Tinta STEM learning will be integrated with Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR) and holistic assessment of students via National Examination and School-based Assessments or Pentaksiran Berasaskan Sekolah (PBS). Curriculum and assessment are aligned with international benchmark to ensure that students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for their success in the 21 st century and beyond, along with passion for lifelong learning.
The approach method applied at Sekolah Tinta is focused on using STEM in students lessons. This concept integrated knowledge, skills, application and is enriched with Islamic values through various approach:
