About Sri Kuala Lumpur School (SRI KL)
Sri Kuala Lumpur School takes a non-elitist approach to education, the school has come a long way since the old days of 1979 with 6 students in Jalan Nipah, Kuala Lumpur. Its governing board is fully independent, and the school is operated as a not-for-profit foundation. The yearly surplus made by the school is retained and reinvested back into the school. The school runs both an international curriculum and the Malaysian national curriculum. Students are exposed to a more international approach to education, with best practices taken from all over the world, the school also adds a local flavour to the international curriculum by placing an emphasis on students acquiring additional languages (Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin).A pioneer of the SMART SCHOOL CONCEPT, Sri Kuala Lumpur adopts the Cambridge International Curriculum for both Primary and Secondary school with Secondary school students having the additional option of following the Malaysian National Curriculum (KBSM). While students are exposed to a more international approach to education, with best practices taken from all over the world, the school also adds a Malaysian flavour to the international curriculum, and places emphasis on students acquiring additional languages (Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin).
With a total of 5.7 acres, the school sits on a ideal location in which a conducive and nurturing environment to enhance the learning experience of students. Sri Kuala Lumpur School's network of classrooms are all fully air-conditioned and equipped with ICT tools such as smartboards to aid teachers in the classrooms. Dedicated learning spaces for science and the arts are cutting edge with the addition of a music school and music center in the school along with a 300 seater auditorium. The school also boast a large array of indoor and outdoor sporting facilities which includes a 25 meter swimming pool, a large playground and courts for badminton and basketball.The school also has a total of 300 computers located in ICT labs and the two libraries dedicated to Primary and Secondary students and full internet connectivity via a wireless broadband network that covers the entire school area.
