About Sri Sempurna International School
Sri Sempurna School was established in 1993. From humble beginnings, they have grown by leaps and bounds, from providing the Malaysian School Syllabus to embarking on the Cambridge Primary Syllabus and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in 2013.The school is noted for taking a holistic approach in educating and molding our students. True to their name, Sri Sempurna stands and shines as the perfect light on a hill in the heart of Taman Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
Sri Sempurna International school aims at academic excellence as well as holistic development of the individual student, which includes character building, spiritual growth, leadership skills, life skills, and physical education based on a firm belief in God.
In Key Stages 1 and 2, students are introduced to a wide range of subjects and studies where learning is hands-on, exciting and interesting. Cambridge Primary English enables learners to communicate confidently and effectively and to develop the critical skills to respond to a range of information, media and texts with understanding and enjoyment.
The Mathematics Curriculum framework explores five content areas: number, geometry, measurement, handling data and problem solving. This curriculum focuses on principles, patterns, systems, functions and relationships so that learners can apply their mathematical knowledge and develop a holistic understanding of the subject.
The Science Curriculum framework covers four content areas: scientific enquiry which is about considering ideas, evaluating evidence, planning, investigating, recording and analysing data; biology, chemistry and physics.
Environmental awareness and some history of science are also part of the curriculum. We prepare learners for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning.
Cambridge Lower Secondary:
The programme develops learners’ skills and understanding in English, Mathematics, and Science. In order to groom all rounded individuals in Academics, subjects such as Malay, Foreign Language Mandarin Chinese, History, Geography, Art & Design, Computer and Character Training are also offered to Year 7 to Year 9 learners.
Cambridge IGCSE:
Learners from Cambridge Lower Secondary will automatically progress to Cambridge IGCSE (Key Stage 4).
At the end of Key Stage 4, Year 11 learners sit for the externally assessed Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) IGCSE Examinations.
