About Tenby Schools Penang

Tenby Schools Penang is part of the Tenby Schools group, one of the pioneers of international education in Malaysia with nearly 60 years of heritage in the country.

Our campus hosts two schools: Tenby International School, which offers Cambridge IGCSE and A Levels, and Sekolah Sri Tenby, which offers the Malaysian National curriculum. Sekolah Sri Tenby started as Sekolah Sri Pinang in 1981 and was the first private school in Penang. It later integrated with Tenby International School in 2011 and moved into its purpose-built educational facility.

Our wide range of facilities include a full sports complex, design and technology laboratories, a modern auditorium and much more, while a 6-acre green campus provides ample room for over 80 co-curricular activities , covering the spectrum of human interests – from the arts to sports, languages and even STEM activities. We are also proud to have a number of teams and individuals representing our schools at state and even national level.

We want our students to be critical learners and to take ownership of their own learning. Accordingly, we strive to provide every opportunity for them to meet and exceed their potential in all areas, and our philosophy of Amazing Learning is equipping them for local and global success.

100% percent of our students who graduated received entry to their first-choice university.

Our approach to teaching and learning is based on an understanding of what happens in the brain when children learn. We believe that learning happens when students are engaged in a good struggle and have positive repeated experiences.  We want our students to experience Amazing Learning where they surprise themselves and others by achieving something that they did not think was possible.
