About The children's house - U-Thant
Nan Civel, lovingly known as Aunty Nan, founded The children's house in 1986.The children's house adapts the Montessori Method that provides a nurturing and non-competitive environment that focuses on the individual needs and development of every child. The school has low teacher-child ratios and well-planned classrooms.
The prepared environment is meticulously designed, spacious, child-centric and encourages self-directed learning to reach the child's potential in all areas of development and as such moulding well-adjusted individuals.
In its long history, The children's house has gained the trust of Malaysian and expatriate parents, touching the lives of more than 20,000 children from around the world.
They welcome you to visit their centres and discover how Montessori education approach can bring out the fullest potential in your child.
Embracing cultural diversity, they instil within their children the love for humanity and nature. Their children are taught to be multicultural, multiracial, and multinational through knowledge and an understanding of the world.
Their programmes consist of Montessori Playgroup (8 months to 2.5 years old) and Montessori Junior (2.6 years old to 6 years old). An award-winning infant care programme is also now offered at TCH Ara Damansara and TCH Bruas for babies 3 months to 12 months old. Programmes for each age group focus on preparing the child for the next level and our low teacher: child ratios are designed for optimal learning.
