About The Montessori Place - 16 Sierra Puchong
The Montessori Place traces its humble beginnings to Bukit Jalil where it still serves the ever growing community till today. The school was founded by Ms Sheena Ignatius in 2008, located in one of the Aked Esplanad shop lots. Things were slow in the beginning as the school was relatively unknown in the area. During the first few months of operations, they only had 4 children of different ages (2.5, 3.5, 4.5 and 5 years).Today, they have 100+ children aged 1 – 5.5 years and more than 60+ students on the waiting list.
The focus of Montessori education is not academic readiness but the learning and development of the whole child – socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. The Montessori Place has well-equipped classrooms that provide a large range of materials for children to build literacy and reading skills, math and logical thinking skills, learn science through experiments, experience team work while cooking and baking, build friendships and gain all the necessary skills to succeed in school and in life.
