Dwi Emas International School, Malaysia’s first entrepreneurial school, invites parents to their upcoming Open Days:

Date: Fri 13 & Sun 15 October 2017Time: 10am - 4pmVenue: Dwi Emas International School, No. 5, Jalan Ikhtisas 14/1,Seksyen 14, Pusat Bandar Shah Alam, 40000 Shah Alam

Offering Primary and Secondary level education, Dwi Emas takes a completely fresh approach to learning – a product of its philosophy of “Starting with the End”, essentially reverse engineering what the future requires and translating that into key skills and know-how that students need develop today in order to thrive.

Why entrepreneurship?

In a world that is increasingly interconnected, dynamic and technology-driven, people who are adaptable, innovative and socially intelligent succeed in the long run. The entrepreneurial journey is a platform for incredible learning opportunities for valuable skills, hence why Dwi Emas International School has set itself apart by being Malaysia's First Entrepreneurial School. Just consider what it takes to run a sustainable, profitable business. Things like the creative problem solving, the ability to spot opportunities and self-reflect come to mind, just to name a few. At Dwi Emas, students begin honing these skills right from Year 1 via their signature Financial Education classes (the backbone of the school's Entrepreneurship Programme).

While traditional systems prepare students to be job-seekers, Dwi Emas students are empowered with choice: To contribute their valuable mindset, skills and experience to work for an organisation, or to set up their own business and provide jobs for others.

Academic excellence goes hand-in-hand with entrepreneurial thinking

The school has been able to incorporate unconventional methods into logical subjects so students enjoy learning and learn more effectively. Imagine students doing treasure hunts for Maths and choreographing hip-hop moves for Physics! This not only makes learning fun and multidimensional, but engages students in a way that helps move information into long-term memory (which is great for examinations).

Dwi Emas' multi-award winning team and learning style has been recognised by Cambridge University Student Union for 4 years in a row. In 2017, it was listed as a 'Best-Practice Pioneer' in the Cambridge Strategies' Innovation 800 publication.

During Open Days, join us for “Classroom Experience for Parents” to find out first-hand just how differently lessons are taught at Dwi Emas. These are 20-minute classes where parents sit in as students. Children are also able to join in.
