Cempaka Schools Malaysia (CSM), which came out as the overall champion for the fifth consecutive year in the World Education Games, received the World Cup trophy from Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Muhyiddin, in his speech, commended CSM for the feat and added that the repeated success by CSM demonstrated that Malaysian students could become world champions.

“Winning nine world trophies within the span of five years, Cempaka has established a strong academic reputation, benchmarked internationally. It is a school of international class, beating competitors of 5.1 million children from 30,000 schools from over 226 countries across the world,” he added. He hoped that the success of CSM would inspire other schools.

The world's largest online education competition saw 23 students of CSM finishing in the top 10, including Daniel Muhammad Syafiq, who won the “Champion of Champions” title across the three categories. Daniel won world top place in science category, second in literacy and ninth in mathematics.
