The new assessment for Form 3, Penilaian Tahap Tiga (PT3) was introduced by the Ministry of Education as part of the wide reaching plans for education reforms. pt3Replacing the now defunct Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR), the new assessment provides greater autonomy and flexibility for some 2,376 secondary schools in Malaysia.Contrasted to the previous PMR, the new assessment under PT3 will see schools and teachers leading the way with providing the tests and also the grading of each test. Teachers will be receiving guidance and supporting material from the Ministry of Education in which to conduct the test and assessments in which to gauge the performance of the students. This assessment will see much more coordination and interaction between teachers, schools, district and state level education departments alongside the Ministry of Education and the Examination Board (Lembaga Peperiksaan).
