For as long as the Penang Free School has existed, it has shaped some of Malaysia's most influential and celebrated figures.Nearly 5,000 of the Old Frees from all over the country gathered to celebrate the school's history, legacy and achievements. Students, teachers, alumni and officials have paid tribute to the school's founder Reverend Robert Sparke Hutchings who founded the school on the same day in 1816.Pos Malaysia Berhad launched a series of stamps featuring the school to commemorate the anniversary. The group's Chief Executive, Datuk Mohd Syukrie Mohd Salleh, said that the company is honoured to feature PFS in their stamps.
