About Marlborough College Malaysia

Marlborough College Malaysia (MCM) provides a British independent-school education in Malaysia, with a strong emphasis on academic rigour, breadth of experience, character, leadership and community service.

The College describes its environment as one where scholarship is valued, creativity is encouraged and pupils are given the space to explore their interests. Its stated mission is to provide an excellent contemporary boarding or day education based on breadth of curriculum, independence of mind, first-class facilities, community service and global citizenship.

The school is divided broadly into:

Pre-Prep School: Ages 3–8
Prep School: Ages 8–13
Senior School: Ages 13–16
Sixth Form: Ages 16–18.

MCM currently has a highly international student population, with pupils representing more than 45 nationalities.

Early Years / Pre-Prep

Ages 3–8

The Early Years programme follows the English Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) before progressing into Key Stage 1.

Preparatory School

Ages 8–13

Senior School

Senior School is broadly structured around the British Key Stage 3 and IGCSE pathway.

At the earlier Senior School stage, pupils undertake a broad curriculum before moving towards greater subject specialisation.

IGCSE – Years 10–11

The College refers to its examination years using the Marlborough terminology Remove and Hundred, corresponding to Years 10 and 11.

There is an extensive bus network that we run in Johor for Day pupils to commute to and from school. Payment for the service is per term.
