A New Era in International Education

There a currently 170 International Schools in Malaysia, a far cry from 2010 when it was only 21. This exponential increase of the last four years signifies a new era of private international education in Malaysia.

With the abolishment of the previous quota for local enrollment in International Schools, Malaysian parents have responded positively to this move done under the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).

The increase in the number of schools has brought along some competition to the market. Schools are now offering competitive school fee’s to accommodate more parents who want to quality education for their children.

The Ministry of Education (MOE) approval of more international school licenses is paving way to a more competitive and diverse marketplace in the country.
