The school’s expatriate and local teachers have rich experience with the National Curriculum for England (commonly known as the British Curriculum) and have worked in various international school environments, locally and globally. Students will receive both in-class support or join a small group and receive extra tutorials, if necessary.

Sri KDU International School, Subang Jaya is one of the very few international schools in Klang Valley that provides a Music Coaching Programme. Local industry specialists teach music classes during school hours and provide individual and small ensemble instructions. The lessons offered are:

At Sri KDU International School, Subang Jaya, parents have the opportunity to get involved in their children’s school lives. Teachers work closely with parents, remaining in close contact with them through a combination of electronic media and face-to-face meetings. Parents are also invited to attend assemblies, volunteer in classrooms, participate in extracurricular activities and form close ties with one another.

From fundraisers, school events and workshops, and rubbish-cleaning or tree-planting activities, the adults are more than welcome to step into the school and help or further improve the school environment. Involvement is essential to help the community to feel connected to school; thus, we believe that it is to build a sense of community among parents, teachers and students.

Communication between parents and school is a high priority here. Parents will receive notices and join online meetings throughout the year about school events and day-to-day classes, and school life via various communication channels. In addition, parents can approach the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Mr Anthony Partington (Executive Principal), Mr Graham Tait (Head of Primary) and Mrs Cassie Fleming (Head of Secondary), should they have any questions.

Parents can email teachers to engage directly with the teachers. We also have a unique Parent Engagement Programme which is a customised communication channel that parents can use to communicate with the school, that is well-received by the parents. A dedicated Parent Engagement Executive is also available to cater to parents’ inquiries, manage the support system for all parents, and work closely with the Parent-Teacher Association and the teachers.

All children need to feel safe and be happy before they can be successful.
